The Newton High School Varsity Golf Team took first place at their opening season golf match at Casey Country Club on Tuesday, August 15. Leading the Eagles was sophomore Michael Kennedy with a score of 39. He tied for first in the individual scores with Drake Bartos from Paris High School.
