CEO Spotlight: Taryn Johnson

Taryn Johnson, daughter of Andrew and Sherra Johnson. She is currently a senior at Newton Community High School and is involved in Volleyball, Spanish Cub, Beta Club, Future Business Leaders of America, and serves as an FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) leader.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and working to save up money for college and all of her future endeavors. She plans to attend SIUE in the fall of 2021 and graduate in three years with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education then go back to school to pursue her graduate degree in order to become an elementary principal.

She has enjoyed gaining knowledge from business leaders in Jasper County and plans to use this knowledge to better herself and her personal business Doorstep Decor. Doorstep Decor is the place to go in order to get custom design signs for your doorstep and indoor decoration needs. Taryn started her business in October of 2020 and plans to continue her designs through college in order to help her pay for her education using the skills she acquired through her CEO class and personal business. 

The Jasper CEO Trade Show will be held on April 28 from 5 pm to 7 pm at West End Reception and Events 202 Museum Drive, Newton. At this event, the CEO Class members will have their items or services available for purchase.
