Chapter FN of the P.E.O. Sisterhood met June 8 at the First Presbyterian Church Fellowship hall. President Beth Mammoser conducted the meeting. Treasurer Jan Klier reported 17 members present. Cindy Borgic, corresponding secretary read a thank you from LaRae Bigard, one of the 2021 Honorarium recipents of FN. She will be attending SIU Edwardsville this fall to pursue a BS in Business Administration. Our 2020 Educational Loan Fund recipient, Natasha Lindemann Russell has graduated from EIU with a BS in Education.
Connie Sanders reported for courtesy, Jane Casey reported on the Star Scholar Scholarship,and Jill Birk reported on Cottey College.
Katina Roth gave a report on the virtual IL state convention, Share the Sunshine was the theme. IL currently has 317 chapters, 12,697 members and 221 new members.Much praise was given to P EO’S for the creativity shown to continue being active and for finding ways to stay in touch with each other. Penny Bessman was elected the IL new state president.
Chapter FN welcomed new member,Debbie Bower.
Refreshments were served by Diane Ogdon and Teresa Hartrich..delicious lemon bars, candies and nuts. They had decorated the hall with rays of sunshine and perky sunglasses..
The next meeting will be July 13.
