Christmas Lights in Peterson Park Set to Shine Once Again
NEWTON – The magic of the holiday season is returning to Newton as the annual Christmas Lights in Peterson Park display prepares to illuminate the community once again. Organizers have announced that displays may be set up in the park anytime after October 27th and up to November 17th in preparation for the much-loved holiday tradition.
The lights will officially open Thanksgiving weekend and continue to brighten the park through New Year’s Day, offering families and visitors a festive experience filled with dazzling displays and holiday cheer.
Each year, local businesses, organizations, and families contribute to the event by setting up creative and colorful light displays throughout the park. The drive-through light show has become a cherished tradition for residents and visitors alike, bringing warmth and joy to the cold winter nights.
Those interested in helping out can volunteer to take donations on one of the evenings the lights are open. Information and sign-up opportunities will be posted on the Christmas Lights in Peterson Park Facebook page, so community members are encouraged to follow the page for updates.
Peterson Park’s Christmas lights have become a highlight of the season in Jasper County, reminding everyone that the true spirit of Christmas shines brightest when the community comes together.
