The City of Newton is inviting residents to take part in a community-wide effort to spruce up the town during the upcoming City Wide Cleanup, scheduled for Friday, May 15 and Saturday, May 16, 2026.
To make disposal convenient, dumpsters will be available at two locations: behind City Hall and at DuFrain Park. Residents are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to clear out unwanted items, tackle spring cleaning projects, and help keep Newton looking its best.
City officials remind residents that tires will not be accepted as part of the cleanup. Anyone with questions about acceptable items or event details is encouraged to contact Newton City Hall at 618-783-8451.
