Community Thanksgiving Service Set for November 23 in Newton
Residents from across Jasper County are invited to come together in gratitude and fellowship at the annual Community Thanksgiving Service, scheduled for Saturday, November 23, at 6:00 p.m. The gathering will be held at 404 S. Scott Avenue in Newton.
The evening will center on a shared spirit of thankfulness, featuring worship, praise, and a message of unity as the community joins to “Gather, Give Thanks & Sing Praises.” Churches throughout the area will take part, offering music, prayer, and reflections designed to prepare hearts for the Thanksgiving season.
The service is sponsored by the JC Ministerial Association, a coalition of local pastors and faith leaders who work together throughout the year to support area families and foster spiritual connection. A love offering will be taken, with proceeds traditionally directed toward local outreach efforts.
Organizers encourage everyone—individuals, families, and visitors alike—to attend and take part in the annual tradition of gratitude. The event is open to all and serves as a warm reminder of the strength found in community, worship, and shared blessings.
