Connie Sue Kirts, age 73, of Ste. Marie, Illinois, passed away at 7:08 AM – Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at Aperion Care in Bridgeport, Illinois.
Funeral services celebrating Connie’s life will be held at 12:00 PM (Noon) – Tuesday, June 29, 2021, at the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois, with Chris Parr officiating. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Newton, Illinois. Visitation will be held 1 hour before the service. In loving memory of Connie, memorials may be made to the Ste. Marie Foundation. Connie was born on May 30, 1948, in Clay City, Indiana, the daughter of Farrell and Mary (Martin) Culler. She married Charles Leroy “Bud” Kirts on July 28, 1968, and he preceded her in death on April 26, 2007.
Connie graduated from Palestine High School in 1966. After high school, she received a degree from IBM Automation Training in Missouri.
Connie had worked at E.R. Moore Cap and Gown Factory and Hardee’s in Newton. She enjoyed going camping, boating and going to Monday night dances in Ste. Marie.

Children – Jeff (Martha) Kirts of Newton, Illinois and Nicci (Mike) Hayes of Bridgeport, Illinois
Grandchildren – Talin Hayes, Macey Hayes, Alli Kirts and Landon Kirts
Brothers – Harold Culler of Hazel Dell, Illinois; Jerry (Sandra) Culler of Annapolis, Illinois
Sister – Vera Leming (Kenton Michael) of Mystic, Connecticut
Connie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant son John Andrew Kirts, sister-in-law Nancy Culler and brother-in-law – John Leming.
