Conservation Day 2021

The sixth grade students in Jasper County enjoyed a day at Sam Parr State Park for Conservation Day 2020-21. Each year, the students have the opportunity to learn about various topics relating to conservation. Some of the yearly groups include the Soil and Water Conservation (who hosted this year’s day since the University of Illinois Extension still has COVID restrictions they must follow.

The Birds of Prey also made a return visit and is a favorite amongst the students as the various birds are brought out and the presenters provide information and anecdotes about the animals.
