Jasper Unit 1 held their annual family night with Corey “Basketball” Jones as the guest speaker. While he performed basketball tricks he also taught the children and adults through anecdotes about his time playing on the same high school team as LeBron James as well as throughout his life.
One of the examples he gave was when Nike brought a pair of shoes to practice for Lebron to wear in an upcoming post season game, and instead of accepting them, he stated he would only wear them if the entire team had a pair.
Corey spoke to those in attendance about being the person who makes a difference and being the person who cares.
