Delaney Carson Huber, Age 21

Delaney Carson Huber

March 31, 1998 – January 30, 2020

Delaney Huber, age 21, who came into this world March 31, 1998, the daughter of Randall D. Huber and Jennifer (Oakley) Swensen, was welcomed into her eternal peace January 30, 2020. Delaney’s last act of kindness was to become an organ donor.

Delaney loved rap and hip-hop music. The more inappropriate the lyrics, the better. She loved Christmas lights, make-up, driving fast and scary, the beach, selfies with her tongue out, Starbucks, and most importantly time with her family and friends. Delaney’s life was sadly too short for her to have the opportunity to add to this list of things she loved with deep passions. Her laugh was infectious. Her wit and humor, dry and clever. Her hugs, strong and long. When Dee held your gaze, you felt her heart.

On December 17, 2019, Delaney gave birth to her greatest love, Camden Lane Fox. Becoming a mother was Dee’s greatest joy. He will certainly be told stories, see pictures and be constantly reminded and assured that he was for whom Delaney’s sweet heart searched her entire life. In him, she found her home and purpose.

Delaney leaves behind many family members who loved her immeasurably. Her cherished son, Camden Lane Fox; her father and stepmother, Randy and Shannon Huber; her mother and stepfather, Jennifer and Spencer Swensen; siblings, Gavin, Sydnee and Landon Huber, Madelynn (Tucker) Morrow and Kirk M. Swensen; her much loved niece and nephew, Genevieve and Beckham Morrow; grandparents, Myron Shaffner, Kirk and Margie Swensen, Rena and Duane Clark and Jim and Jeanne Ordner as well as many loving and heartbroken aunts, uncles and cousins.

Delaney was welcomed into her heavenly home by her beloved Grandmother, Betty (Oakley) Shaffner. She met her grandfathers, Delano Oakley and David Huber, for the first time and is certainly entertaining them with bad jokes and goofy faces.

Many lessons have been learned from the life and death of Delaney. Most importantly, to freely give true, unconditional love.

The Randy Huber family will be hosting an open house Sunday, February 9, at the Kountry Kitchen, 105 E. Main Street, Teutopolis, IL from 2 to 6 pm to remember Delaney, share stories about her and surround her dad, stepmom, brothers and sister with love and support.

Memorials may be made to Shannon and Randy Huber to be used to ensure the best life possible for Delaney’s son, Camden. You can sign up to be an organ donor here: www.organdonor.gov.
