The ground is being rapidly cleared to make way for a new Dollar General plus store with plans for opening by October of 2019. This will be located across the street from Casey’s General Store in Newton and will include more coolers to house more refrigerated and frozen items.
Dollar General Plus Stores are larger than traditional Dollar General stores and while they will have many of the same name brand and generic merchandise including off-brand items and closeouts of name brand goods, they will also have a larger selection of perishable items.
