The Newton Community High School basketball team faced off against OPH at the Newton Regionals on February 21, 2021. In an impressive performance, Newton dominated the game and took home a win with a final score of 91-59. Scoring was led by Parker Wolf with 41 points, followed by Dylan Gier with 17 points. Overall, Newton had a record of 21 wins and 10 losses, and their next game will be against Teutopolis in the Regional Championship on Friday. The team’s stats for this game were: field goals – 32, three-pointers – 6, free throws made – 9 out of 16 attempts. On the other side, the opponent’s top scorers were Blank with 14 points and Lewis with 15 points.
