The Newton Eagles competed in the Mattoon tournament on Friday and Saturday. For the first game of the tournament the Eagles fell to Matton with a final score of 2-3. Goals were made by Lance Volk and Makai Kuhn with assists by Wade Ochs and Henry Will.
On Saturday, the Eagles lost to the Lincoln Rail Splitters 2-3 with goals by Luke Farley and Henry Will both assisted by Makai Kuhn. In the final game of the tournament, the Eagles beat the Richland County Tigers 4-0 with goals by Makai Kuhn 2, Lance Volk, and Brock Anderson assisted by Brady Bergbower!
