The Newton Eagles faced the Sullivan Redskins in Sullivan on August 26th. The Newton Eagles scored in the first quarter when Quarterback Max Meinhart handed off the ball at the 11 to Wade Wickham who carried the ball into the end zone. The extra point kicked by Gage Reynolds was missed.
In the second quarter, Lain Burgener handed off the ball at the 29 to Parker Wolf who ran the ball into the end zone for a 26 yard gain. Burgener handed the ball off to Wade Wickham for the extra point, however, he was stopped at the two yard line.
