The Newton Eagles went undefeated tonight against Pal-Hut with a win in the freshman, junior varsity and varsity matches. This win brings the varsity team to a record of 1-1 on the season. Coach Kistner spoke about the game stating, “We had a slow start in set one and made too many unforced errors but we settled in to the second set and played a much cleaner set. I’m proud of the girls for coming back and playing a complete set as team. Renee Probst had a tough serve in set two that really gave Hut/Pal a lot of trouble.”
The freshman defeated Pal-Hut in three sets of 25-15, 24-26, and 15-10. The junior varsity won in two with scores of 25-14 and 25-10. The varsity won in two with scores of 25-21 and 25-8.
