The Newton Eagles went 1-1 in the condensed Red and Gold Tournament in Charleston on Saturday. The Eagles defeated the Altamont Indians by a score of 2-0. Goals coming from Makai Kuhn and Evan Holder, both assisted by Henry Will! Eagles defense led by Keeper Wes Britton, Nate Songer, Wade Ochs, Brady Bergbower and Cylas Dickerson put up their first clean sheet of the season!
The Eagles played back to back and went on to drop their next match against the Effingham Hearts 0-2.
The Eagles are not back in action until next Saturday when they hit the road again to take on the Charleston Trojans!
