The Newton Eagles defeated St. Anthony 3-0 in their opening match of the St. Anthony tournament and for the season. Carder Reich with a hat trick was the only scorer for the team, however, Daniel Visoso had two assists. With a true team effort, the Eagles defense put up their first clean sheet of the year.
Drew Buerster was in the goal and Leo WEber and Alex Kaufmann were on center defense. The Eagles will continue play in the St. A tournament on both Thursday and Saturday.
