The Newton Eagles defeated Cowden Herrick Beecher City with a final score of 1-12. The Eagles pitcher Brandon Einhorn earned the win on the mound with one run on six hits, striking out two and walking one over six innings.

The Eagles in the bottom of the second begin their scoring when Mason Schafer scores on a double by Owen Mahaffey. Later in the same inning, Ben Meinhart singles on a ground ball to left bringing in Mahaffey and Max Meinhart bringing the score to 1-3 at the end of the second inning.
In the third inning, Isaac Flowers hits a home run bringing in Carder Reich. The score remains 1-5 until the bottom fo the 6th when Max Meinhart scores on a fly ball to right with an error by Lorton. Ben Meinhart scores when Flowers doubles on a fly to center.Reich scores when Mason Mulvey hits a hard grounder to third. Flowers scores on a steal at home and Mulvey scores when Gage Reynolds doubles on a fly ball to left field. Payton Harris goes in for Reynolds and scores when Mahaffey singles on a line drive to left. After two walks, Mahaffey scores on a single by B. Meinhart bringing the score at the bottom of the sixth to 1-12.
The following day the Eagles faced the Stew Stras Hatchets and were victorious with a score of 1-2. Carder Reich was the winning pitcher for the Eagles with six innings including one run on two hits and striking out six. Gus Bierman pitched one inning in relief earning the save for the Eagles by recording the last three outs.
The Eagles took the lead in the bottom of the first when Ben Meinhart scored on a single line drive to center by Mason Mulvey. Stew Stras ties the game when Wetherell grounds out when B. Meinhart throws from short to Mulvey in first to make the second out. The final score of the game comes in the bottom of the 6th when Reynolds hits a grounder to short and Reich scores.
