On Tuesday October 26th at approx. 7:00 p.m. the Electric Dept. began receiving calls about issues with our North substation. Upon investigation it was found the Ameren 69 KV switch on the west side of town had broken braces and caused one switch to completely open and another to slightly open. Both the North substation and the South substation were opened up to allow the Electric Dept. to safely tie circuits together. Approx. 1 Hr. later the power was restored to the whole town.
