AARP Foundation Tax Aide is providing free tax filing assistance for low to moderate income taxpayers of all ages at the St. Thomas Parish Center, 306 W. Jourdan Street in Newton, on Mondays in February and March. While there is no charge for the service, an appointment is required. Filers must bring photo ID for all taxpayers on the return and a social security card for everyone listed on the return – including all dependents. They also need to bring all necessary tax documents. We cannot complete returns with farm income. Returns will be completed and filed electronically during the session.
