HCE Week… October 10–14, 2022…is being celebrated state wide to promote HCE, uniting counties in creating public awareness and information about the organization, which was organized in 1924 in Illinois. Today, HCE is comprised of 5,300 women and men of Illinois. The mission of HCE is to enhance the lives of individuals and families through quality educational programs and experiences, while encouraging responsible leadership and service to the community. Altogether HCE members across Illinois volunteered more than 480,520 hours of their time to service projects last year.
October is a busy month for Jasper County HCE! The annual Butter Braid sale is September 30–October 14; delivery day is Monday, October 28, 3:00 pm, at Scott Avenue Church garage in Newton.
Also, Books For Beginners will be celebrated this week. HCE members are gifting all of Jasper County’s kindergarteners and their teachers with their own copy of Trick or Treat Parakeet!
In addition, RADA Cutlery will be sold October and November 2022.
