HELREGEL REUNION 2025
The Helregel Reunion was held on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at 12 noon in St. Mary’s
Parish Center, Sainte Marie, Illinois, with 56 people attending. Family pictures and quilts
were displayed for all to enjoy.
Linda Mathious, Kinsey Barber, and Judy Millsap led everyone in the meal prayer. After
dinner, Stacey (Helregel) Nettleton awarded attendance prizes to the following:
Youngest boy: Lane Nettleton, 1 month and 3 days old
Youngest girl(s): Mabry and Nora Millsap, 4 years old
Oldest, wisest gentleman: Louie Thies, 85 years young
Oldest, wisest lady: Betty (Helregel) Wakefield, 100 years young
Traveled the farthest: Dorothy (Helregel) & Linda Mathious, Van Nuys, CA &
Studio City, CA
Most newly married: Ryan and Kelsey (Bloomberg) Millsap, 10 years
Couple married the longest: Louie & Annie (Ochs) Thies, 61 years
Youngest grandparents: Chuck & Stacey (Helregel) Nettleton
Couple/person with most children/grandchildren present (including spouses):

Judy Millsap led participants in “Minute To Win It” games (TP Unroll—trying to be the
first to unroll ALL of your TP from the roll and Keepy Uppy—with a partner, try to keep 3
balloons in the air for one minute). Kelsey Millsap won the TP Unroll, and no one was
able to keep all 3 balloons afloat for one minute, but everyone was awarded for playing
both games!
The next Helregel Reunion will be the 4 th Sunday in June, 2027, at St. Mary’s Parish
Center in Sainte Marie, Illinois.
