Hubert Dale Carr, age 69, of Newton, Illinois, passed away at 12:41 PM – Thursday, November 4, 2021, at Ascension St.
Vincent’s Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.
Private services will be held with burial in the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Newton, Illinois. Arrangements are
under the care of the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois. In loving memory of Dale, memorials may be made to the

Hubert Dale, better know as Dale was born on June 14, 1952, in Mattoon, Illinois, the son of Hubert and Thelma (Bower)
Carr. He married Shirley Foltz on June 13, 1992, at Lake Jasper.
Dale graduated from Newton Community High School with the class of 1970. He went on to earn his Associates degree
from Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Illinois.
Dale retired from Newton Implement (CaseIH Dealer) in Newton, after several years of services as the inventory clerk. He
was a member of the Meadowview golf course.
Dale was an avid golfer. He enjoyed gardening, and watching the Fighting Illini, Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears, with
his friends.
Dale was very community minded, and was always willing to be a volunteer. He served on the Jasper County Chamber of
Commerce for 20 years, serving as President for 2 years.
Dale is survived by:
Wife of 29 years – Shirley Carr of Newton, Illinois
Daughters – Shelia (Greg) Brooks and Lisa (Dan) Lomas both of Newton, Illinois
Grandchildren – Dustin (Erika) Brooks of Newton, Illinois; Doug Brooks of St. Louis, Missouri; and Megan Lomas of Villa
Grove, Illinois
Great Grandchildren – Harper and Emery Brooks
Brother – Joe (Pat) Carr of Robinson, Illinois
Sisters-in-law – Nancy Kinsel of Greenup, Illinois and Sue Kinsel of Chicago, Illinois
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, brothers John, Frank and Raymond Kinsel.
