Illinois Pork and Farmweld Donate 1,770 Pounds of Ground Pork to Area Food Pantries

Farmweld along with a personal contribution from its president and founder,
Frank Brummer, donated 1,770 pounds of pork through the Illinois Pork
Producers Association’s (IPPA) Pork Power program.
In 2008, the IPPA launched Pork Power with the goal of helping fight hunger in Illinois. It provides a system for farmers to donate pork to food banks throughout Illinois.
The pantries receiving this generous donation are Catholic Charities, Enduring Freedom Ministries and The Master’s Hands.
Since its inception, Pork Power has generated over 721,000 pounds of pork –
enough for more than 3.8 million meals – for families throughout Illinois.
1,770 pounds of ground pork will be presented to the three pantries during three separate events.
