Information from the Jasper County Health Department

Covid Vaccine….

We are receiving many calls regarding the Covid Vaccine. We are currently working our way through Phase 1a. We cannot move to Phase 1b until everyone in our region is ready to do so.

If you are included in Phase 1a and have not yet been able to get a Covid vaccine, please contact me via messenger here or call the health dept and ask for Deborah.

These are the current Phases, although they will be changing soon and I will post. I do know that Phase 1b will include individuals age 65 years and over in the new changes.

Phase 1a…Healthcare Personnel, Long-term care facility residents and staff

Phase 1b…Persons aged 75 years and older, Frontline essential workers (as defined by ACIP and directed by the State of Illinois)
Sheltered population, homeless/day programs, and inmates

Phase 1c
Persons aged 16 to 59 years old with high-risk medical conditions
Persons aged 60 to 74 years old, Other essential workers (as defined by ACIP and directed by the State of Illinois)

We have been ask how you will be notified. We will be posting updates to our facebook page and also sending notification through the Code Red System. Code Red is the calling system that is used during severe weather to call your home or cell phone. If you have not registered, click on the link below to register.

Help – We have many individuals who do not have facebook or the internet. Many elderly also living in rural areas. They are very concerned they will not know when to come in. Please, you know your neighbors and family members who fit this description. Please reach out to them and assure them you will be watching and will notify them when it is their turn to receive the vaccine.
