Jasper County CEO Welcomes New CEO Facilitator!

Jasper County CEO Welcomes New CEO Facilitator!

Newton, Illinois – June 2024 – Jasper County CEO is proud to announce and welcome Kelly Hemrich as the new facilitator for the class year 2024-25.

Kelly Hemrich is looking forward to giving back to the community as the new facilitator of Jasper County CEO.  As a long-time board member, she has believed in and supported the program for many years. Kelly is a small business owner and lead productivity coach who works with dental teams across the United States.  As a 20+ year entrepreneur, Kelly is excited to bring her many years of experience to the program.  Kelly is a native of Jasper County native where she resides with her husband, Rob.  Kelly and Rob have three wonderful boys and are getting their first grandbaby this summer.

The CEO program is an accredited entrepreneurship education course available to Juniors and Seniors attending Newton Community High School.  The class is never held in school, rather, participants meet five days a week for 90 minutes in local businesses.  Even so, participants do receive school credit for the program.

Throughout the school year, the CEO program takes students out of the classroom and into local businesses, allowing them to meet with community leaders, exposing them to over 100 guest speakers, and providing them with mentors who coach them through the process of starting and running a business.

The role of the CEO facilitator in the program is to facilitate the learning environment that these young people experience and collaborate with the local board to ensure program essentials are being met.

The facilitator encourages program participants to explore, discover and push themselves through the real-world learning activities they are exposed to. Asking questions, supporting curiosity, and encouraging problem solving are at the core of the role as they provide guidance through each participant’s CEO journey.

This individual must also demonstrate a passion for learning and possess an ability to connect with the high-school-aged participants, as well as the community.  Kelly Hemrich completed her facilitator training provided by the Midland Institute for Entrepreneurship, the provider of the CEO Program nationwide, in advance of the 2023-2024 program year.

“We couldn’t be more excited to have Kelly Hemrich as the next facilitator of Jasper County CEO.  Kelly has served us well on the board for many years, so she knows the program inside and out.  Kelly’s real-world experience is an invaluable asset and we can’t wait for her to share that knowledge with our future students.”  Board Chair, Chad Farley
