If the smell of warm cinnamon and fresh bread sounds like the perfect way to spend an evening, mark your calendars.
Jasper County “HCE Plus” will present a Cinnamon Rolls Workshop on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. at the University of Illinois Extension Office, located at 8775 N. State Highway 130 in Newton.
The evening will feature Marjorie Thompson as presenter. Thompson will guide participants step-by-step through the process of making perfect homemade cinnamon rolls, sharing tips and techniques to ensure soft dough, flavorful filling, and bakery-quality results.
Attendees will:
- Learn the full cinnamon roll making process
- Enjoy cinnamon rolls along with coffee or water
- Take home recipes to recreate the treats in their own kitchens

Free-will donations will be accepted and will benefit Toys for Kids, Books for Beginners, and the Scholarship Fund.
The event is open to the public, and community members of all baking skill levels are welcome.
