The Jasper County Shrine Club is bringing back a community favorite this spring with its annual sweet Vidalia onion sale, offering fresh, high-quality onions just in time for grilling and summer recipes.
Residents can purchase a 10-pound bag of sweet Vidalia onions for only $10. Pickup will take place on Friday, April 25, beginning at 8 a.m., with three convenient locations available throughout the county.
Onions will be distributed at:
- Dieterich — across the highway from Subway
- Newton — KC Hall parking lot
- St. Marie — the gas station
Known for their mild flavor and versatility, Vidalia onions are a popular choice for everything from burgers and salads to caramelized dishes and homemade salsas.
Proceeds from the sale help support the Jasper County Shrine Club and its ongoing efforts to give back to the community.
Those interested are encouraged to arrive early, as supplies are typically limited and the sale draws strong local support each year.
