The Embarras River Tourism council is currently offering solar eclipse shirts to commemorate the upcoming solar eclipse event on April 8th, during which Newton will experience totality. These shirts were designed by Sadie Iffert, a sophomore at Newton Community High School, and they can be purchased online until March 13th.
On March 20th, the shirts will be available for pickup at the Chamber office. All profits from the sales will contribute towards enhancing the aesthetics of downtown Newton. The black shirt will have a glow in the dark sun feature on it.
