Superintendent’s Report
- The Illinois School Report Card was released on October 30, 2025.
- Newton Community High School, Jasper County Junior High, and Newton Elementary School all were rated as “Commendable.”
New Business
- Approved the FY 25 Annual Finance Report from Kemper Financial
- The District received the highest grade possible for the financial audit
- Approved posting the Tax Levy for 2025
- Approved to let bids for District fuel
- Approved Bid Package for Construction of Two Pre-K Classrooms, 6 Classrooms, Cafeteria, Office Space, Resource Space, and an IT Office.

- Approved Holland Construction Services Inc’s Guaranteed Maximum Price for Project for $7,892,323 in Construction Cost
- The District will also have owners’ costs that include surveying and engineering layouts, architectural design and engineering of the building, topographic surveys, soil borings, third party construction testing and inspections, and preconstruction costs. These costs total $948,034.
- Total Cost of the Construction $7,892,323 + Owners Cost $948,034= $8,840,357
