Superintendent’s Report:
- Energy Transition Grant:
- The State of Illinois is finalizing the Energy Transition Grant.
- District funds will be reimbursed through the grant for replacement of the Newton Elementary Roof, drawings, and bids for a building addition at Newton Elementary School.
- Posting of a Board Vacancy
- The deadline to apply for the open Board position is Thursday, March 6, 2025, by 4 p.m.
- Call the Jasper County Unit Office for more information.
New Business
- Approved Bid for Joiner Sheet Metal Roofing for the Newton Elementary School Roofing Project for $1,152,713.
- The roof will be installed this summer and will be a 90 mil EPDM membrane.
- This will not be a metal roofing project.
- Discussed the current and future school calendars.
