Jo Ann Goodwin 83, of Mt. Zion, IL passed away at 8:57 a.m., Tuesday, October 1, 2024, in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
A graveside service to honor Jo Ann’s life will be held at 8:30 a.m., Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at Point Pleasant Cemetery, Long Creek. The family will receive friends and family for visitation on Tuesday evening, October 8, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Calvert & Wikoff Funeral Home, Mt. Zion. Jo Ann was born September 23, 1941, in East St. Louis, IL the daughter of Joe and Jane (Wafer) Hubbert. She married Thomas William “Bill” Goodwin on May 3, 1963. He preceded her in death on December 4, 2013. Jo Ann was the former owner along with her husband of Public Discount Auto Parts. She enjoyed doing Word puzzles, was a football fan especially rooting for Peyton Manning, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving is her children: Jill Walker (Jason) of Long Creek and Brian Goodwin (Allison) of Colona, IL; sister: Ruth Fehrenbacher (Blaine) of Buda TX; grandchildren: Samantha Jo Walker, Adam J. Goodwin, and Sloane J. Walker.
Jo Ann was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
