- Tennis:
Superintendent’s Report:
- Jasper County School District ended the fiscal year on June 30, 2023.
- Overall, the district ended the fiscal year in good standing with revenues exceeding budgeted numbers and expenditures less than predicted.
- Although this is the case, the Capital Fund (1% Sales Tax) was the one that took the biggest hit. The Capital Fund money was used to pay for the new elevator at Newton Community High School.
- The District also will finish the year in a negative balance in the Transportation Fund. State payments for the District arrived in early July, with those revenues being counted in fiscal year 24.
- District Transportation Director Daniel Stark discussed the needs that the school district has for bus drivers and ways to incentivize more people to drive a bus.

- Approved Superintendent Membership and Conferences for the 2023-2024 School Year
- Approved Updated Risk Management Plan
- Approved Jasper County District #1 Classified Handbook 2023-2024
- Approved Soccer Complex Agreement with 4THEKIDSLLC.
- Approved for Superintendent to Hire District Staff from July 18, 2023 to August 21, 2023
- Approved the Purchase of (2) Two Used Activity Buses for the 2023-2024 School Year with an individual price cap of $80,000 each.
