Junior Firefighter Training, Reflective Signs and Smoke Alarms

Fire Prevention Week will be kicked off with a junior firefighter training on Saturday, October 12 at the firehouse in Newton (104 N 1st Street at 10 am to 2 pm. The event is open to the public and will include firehouse tours, touch a truck, and an obstacle course for the kids.

There are also reflective 911 address signs available for purchase for $15.

WCFPD is partnering up with the Red Cross to install a limited number of free smoke alarms for those who need and for those who are physically unable to install a smoke alarm. Contact the Wade Fire Protection District at 618-783-3887 for more information.
