Kathy Ann (Thompson) Boyd McCarty, age 74
August 19, 1946 – May 10, 2021
of Greencastle, Indiana, formerly of Newton, Illinois, passed away at 7:28 PM – Monday, May 10, 2021, at the Hendricks Regional Hospital in Danville, Indiana.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM – Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Newton, Illinois, with Fr. Dean Probst officiating. Kathy was born on August 19, 1946, in Effingham, Illinois, the daughter of Jim and Betty (Dilman) Thompson. She was a 1964 graduate of Newton Community High School and retired in 2011 as an accounts payable clerk from Herff-Jones Corp. in Indianapolis.

Son – William Todd (wife Margaret) Boyd of Poughkeepsie, New York
Grandchildren – Meaghan Boyd of Nashville, Tennessee and Michael Boyd of Poughkeepsie, New York
Brothers – Robert Thompson (Jan) of Oxnard, California and Jack Thompson (Marge) of Sainte Marie, Illinois
Sisters – Barbara Thompson of Newton, Illinois and Jude (Bill) Volk of Wakefield, Illinois
Several nieces and nephews also survive
Kathy was preceded in death by her husband of 21 years, Mike Boyd, along with her parents and a brother Jim Thompson.
