What made you decide this school was the best fit for you?
Lake Land College is close to home and the people at Lake Land are so helpful and welcoming. I liked what the volleyball coach had to offer me too.
How do you feel NCHS has prepared you for this next step in life?
NCHS has made me prepared for college with the classes I can take. The great administration, especially Mr. Carr, has tremendously helped me be prepared and ready to jump into my next chapter in life.
What are at least two life lessons you have learned from sports?
One life lesson I have learned in sports that have impacted me the most is that “it is not where you start, it is where you finish”. Another life lesson I have learned in sports is “no excuses, just results”. These are wise words from my high school volleyball coach, Jill Kistner.
How have your coaches (and assistant coaches) helped prepare you to play at a collegiate level?
My coach and assistant coaches help me prepare for college volleyball by pushing me every day to be better. They have high expectations for me that make me a better player. Also, my coach has helped me send out emails to colleges.
What will you miss the most next year about not being a Newton Eagle?
I think I will miss home volleyball games the most where the bleachers are roaring, the fans and student section going crazy. That feeling is something that can’t be beaten. Another thing I will miss about NCHS is going to other sporting events and supporting my close friends. I love how close our whole senior class is.
