The Newton Lady Eagles Jr. High softball team ended the regular season undefeated after soaring past Paris -Mayo with a final score of 15-1. The Eagles gained a huge lead in the first inning with eight runs. During the inning, Bailee Frichtl, Karasyn Martin, Amelia Collins, Addy O’Dell, and Allie Stanley each had RBIs in the inning. Frichtl started the scoring with two RBis on her single.
Avery Mulvey was the winning pitcher for the Eagles with zero hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out six and walking zero. Collins threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen.
The Eagles begin regional play on Thursday at 4:30 at Newton.
