Lady Eagles’ Lindley and Ochs Advance to Sectionals
The Newton Lady Eagles shone at the IHSA Girls Golf Regional, with both of their competitors earning spots at sectionals.
Sophomore Peyton Lindley led the way with a strong round of 82, placing 10th overall in the regional field. Her consistency throughout the day secured her advancement and capped off a stellar performance.
Junior Haley Ochs also delivered under pressure, shooting an 87 to finish in 17th place. Her solid play earned her a qualifying spot and continued her strong season for the Lady Eagles.
With both Lindley and Ochs moving on, Newton will be well represented at sectionals as the two golfers look to keep their postseason run alive.
