The Newton Lady Eagles placed third at the Pana/Shelbyville Invite.
The Lady Eagles defeated Shelbyville in two sets of 25-19 and 25-16 and Effingham 25-19 and 25-22. The Eagles fell to St. Thomas More in two with scores of 17-25 and 19-25 and Rochester with scores of 24-26 and 14-25. The Eagles took third place with their win against Pana in three sets of 21-25, 25-20 and 25-18.
