The Lady Eagles start their season with an easy win over Fairfield with a score of 18-52. The Eagles dominated the court with double digit scoring throughout the first three quarters (17, 21, 12, and 2) compared to Fairfield’s minimal scoring (2, 8, 4, 4).
The Martin girls scored 33 of the 52 points with Camryn scoring 17 (5,2,1 for 2) and Karasyn scoring 16 (2,4). Izzy Meinhart followed with 7 points (1,1,2 for 2), Addy O’Dell had six points (3, 0, 0 for 1), Allie Hermann had 4 (2,0), and Grace Schumacher scored two (2, 0).
The team totaled 14 2 pointers, 7 3 pointers, and were 3 for 5 in free throws.
Claire Probst led the team in rebounds with five and both Martins and Ava Earnest each had three. O’Dell led in steals with 4, Probst and K. Martin each had 3, C Martin and Schumacher each had 2. O’Dell also led in assists with 7, K Martin had three and C Martin had 2.
The Eagles will play their home opener against Windsor Stew-Stras tonight with JV starting at 6.
