What made you decide this school was the best fit for you?

From the very personable coaching staff and Physical Therapy department, to the fact that VU offers exactly what I need to start me on the path to becoming a physical therapist, I knew that it was the perfect fit for me.

How do you feel NCHS has prepared you for this next step in life?

The number of dual-credit classes that NCHS has offered has definitely prepared me for this next step in my life. The higher-level classes have taught me how to balance a larger workload alongside sports, which has given me the confidence to make this decision to continue sports in college.

What are at least two life lessons you have learned from sports?

Two life lessons I’ve learned from high school sports would be to not dwell on past performances but to focus on the ones to come, and to focus less on the sport itself but the memories you can make within them. These two things will help you improve way more than you would think.

How have your coaches (and assistant coaches) helped prepare you to play at a collegiate level?

My coaches have prepared me for competing at the collegiate level in many different ways. Running can be a monotonous sport, so it takes an especially good coach to take something boring and make it fun enough to want to continue competing in after high school.

What will you miss the most next year about not being at NCHS?

Next year the thing I will miss the most about not being at NCHS, will definitely be the teammates I’ve had along my side for the last 7 years of my life. It will be a big adjustment not being on the same team as them anymore.
