Leona Pearl “Pudy” Jayne, age 65, of Camargo, Illinois, passed away at
2:15 AM – Wednesday, December 25, 2019, at Newman Rehabilitation and
Health Care Center in Newman, Illinois.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM – Monday, December 30, 2019, at
the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois. Burial will be in the Tate
Cemetery in rural Bogota, Illinois. Visitation will be held 1 hour before the

Leona Pearl, affectionately known as “Pudy” was born on December 13,
1954, in rural Newton, Illinois, the daughter of Virgil Henry and Essie Lucille
(Worthey) Jayne. Pudy enjoyed coloring, drawing and playing with her Barbie dolls. She loved all animals, especially cats and dogs.
Pudy is survived by:
Sisters-in-law – Patty Jayne of Camargo, Illinois; Mary Jayne of Newton,
Illinois and Connie Jayne of Florida Several nieces and nephews also survive
Pudy was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Leonard, Chet, Vic and Roy Jayne and a sister Fern Pickett.
