Lincoln Aaron James Powers, the son of Nicholas and Ashley (Nix) Powers, of Newton, Illinois, was born silently into this world at 11:33 AM – Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at HSHS St. Anthony Memorial Hospital in Effingham, Illinois.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM – Friday, October 25, 2024, at the First Southern Baptist Church in Greenup, Illinois with Pastor Brooke Davis officiating. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service at the church. The burial will be in the Mound Cemetery, rural Willow Hill, Illinois. In loving memory of Lincoln, memorials may be made to the family. The Meyer Funeral Home-Bishop Chapel in Greenup, Illinois is assisting the family with arrangements. Lincoln spent only a moment in their arms but will forever be in the hearts of his parents Nicholas Dale and Ashley (Nix) Powers, as well as his sisters Brooklyn and Fayelynn, of Newton, Illinois.

Lincoln was greeted by his sister Trinity Dawn Powers into eternal life along with maternal grandmother Dawn Nix, maternal great grandmothers Molly Elston and LaVaun Nix, maternal great grandfather Norbert Nix, great aunt Karen Nix, paternal great grandmother Patricia Jacobs, paternal great grandfather Barton Powers and great aunt Laura Reed.
