Lloyd Riddle, 81, of Casey, IL.
Funeral services will be held following the Masonic Rites at 11:00 AM Saturday,
February 6, 2021 at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, IL. Visitation will be held
from 10:00 to service time on Saturday. Burial will be in the Aten Cemetery. Please
practice social distancing and masks will be required while attending services.
Lloyd was born May 16, 1939 to Lyle Vernon Riddle and Chlora Mae (Walden)
Riddle. He was born at home in Rose Hill Illinois and passed away January 30, 2021 at St.
Anthony’s Hospital in Effingham, Illinois. He attended Rose Hill Grade School and
graduated from Newton Community High School in 1957. He had one sister Mildred
(Riddle) Warfel and one brother Wayne Riddle. He was preceded in death by his parents
and siblings. He is survived by his friend Martha Kemper of Greenup, IL, his children and
their spouses Julia (David) Kintner of Robinson, IL, James (Deborah) Riddle of Newton,
IL, Karen (John) Pogue of Puyallup, WA, Cherlyn (Paul) Ervin, Dennison, IL, Carol (Scott)
Henry of Biggsville, IL, and Angela (Garrett) Willey Tacoma, WA. Grandchildren Jessica
(Matt) Cheesman, James Kintner, Shelby Riddle, Cody Riddle, Kailee Yates, Kaisey Henry,
Kaydie Henry and Grace Willey due March 2021. Great grandchildren Victoriya
Cheesman, Devon Cheesman and Julianna Cheesman. Several nieces, nephews and
great nieces and nephews.
Lloyd was a member of the Church of Christ, life member of Mason’s Blue Lodge
of Casey since 1985, life member of Ansar Shriner’s since 1986, life member of Valley of
Danville Blue Lodge since 1986, life member of Shrines Hospital for Children. He
transported many patients to Shriner’s Hospital.
Lloyd was a carpenter and he moved house trailers and houses for 50 years.
There are many trailers and homes in the surrounding counties that he moved, set and
leveled. There were many trips that he would point out a house he helped build or a
trailer that he had moved. He always has a story to go with each move or trip.
