Following is a summary of minutes of a special meeting of the Board of Education of Jasper County
Community Unit School District No. 1 held at the District Office at 7pm on Monday, September 27, 2021.
Board members present were Mrs. Mandy Rieman, Mrs. Holly Farley, Mr. Bill Meinhart, Mr. Jerry L. Jed
Earnest and Mr. Jason Kuhl. Members absent: Mr. Brady Shull.
All votes are considered unanimous unless otherwise noted.
Mandy Rieman called the meeting to order.
The agenda was adopted as presented.
There were no guests or public comments.
The board went into executive session at 7:02pm for 5 ILCS 120/2 ( c) (3) – Selection of a person to fill a
public office including a vacancy.
Candidates interviewed were: Holly McCoy, Mandi Utley, Evan Semple and Kristine Michels.
Approval to return to open session at 9:22pm.
Approval to appoint Mandi Utley to serve out the term of the vacated board member seat until the next
board election in April of 2023. Mandi read the Oath of Office.
Meeting adjourned at 9:46pm.
Next meeting is scheduled for Monday, October 18, 2021 at 6:30 pm at the Board Office.
