Marilyn Ruth (Weber) Zumbahlen, 80, of Newton, passed away at 3:33 AM- Saturday, March 5, 2022, at home surrounded by the love of her family.

Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Marilyn’s life will be held at 11:00 AM – Saturday, March 12, 2022, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Newton, Illinois, with Fr. Dean Probst celebrating mass. Burial will be
in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Newton, Illinois. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 PM -Friday, March 11, 2022, at the church and 9:30-10:30 AM before mass at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Thomas School. Arrangements are under the care of Meyer Funeral Home in Newton,Illinois. Condolences maybe left at www.meyerfh.com.

Marilyn was born on April 29, 1941, in Wakefield, Illinois, the daughter of Eugene C. and Edna Ruth (Fehrenbacher)Weber. She married Arthur H. “Art” Zumbahlen on April 29, 1959, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Wendelin, Illinois.

Marilyn graduated from Newton Community High School in 1959. She was a farmer’s wife and loving mother.
Marilyn was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. She enjoyed fishing, playing bingo and spending time with her family and friends.

Marilyn is survived by 12 children, Rochele (Gary) Koebele of Newton, Illinois; Denise (Randy) Ambuehl of Mulberry Grove, Illinois; Philip (Judy) Zumbahlen of Newton, Illinois; Sharon (Dennis) Gillespie of Teutopolis, Illinois; Donna (Rob) Parker of St. Louis, Missouri; Stan (Kim) Zumbahlen of Newton, Illinois; Chris (Becki) Zumbahlen of Wheeler, Illinois; Matt (Lori) Zumbahlen of Newton, Illinois; Curt (Kelly) Zumbahlen of Newton, Illinois; Roger (Toni) Zumbahlen of Newton, Illinois; Nick (Shae) Zumbahlen of Newton Illinois and Nicole Zumbahlen of Newton, Illinois
