Mary Erlene Hall age 98 of Dundas, Illinois

she worked for the Pure Oil
Company. She later worked at the telephone office, the Wakefield Feed Mill and as a
bookkeeper and farmer. Her greatest jobs were that of wife, mother, grandmother and great-
grandmother.
Her many memberships include the St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, American Legion
Post No. 80 Auxiliary Olney, Noon Bridge Club, St. Thomas Alter Society, Smallwood Home
Extension, Newton Chapter No. 497 Order of the Eastern Star and the Stephens Breeders of Mt.
Cur Coonhounds.
In her free time, Erlene enjoyed art and painting. She owned Erlene’s Ceramic Shop, where she
taught classes and used her talent to paint on saws. She enjoyed traveling and spending time
outdoors, fishing, mushroom hunting and coon hunting with Eugene. At the age of 90, she had a
desire to play the piano and began taking lessons.
Erlene will be loved and remembered by her son Mike R. Hall, wife Sherry of Dundas; daughter
Patricia McCluney, husband Bill of Effingham; grandchildren Stacy Matson, husband Keith of
Newton and William P. McCluney of Bradenton, Florida; great-grandchildren Ethan Matson,
wife Bridget of Newton and Kayla Matson of St. Louis; sister Bonnie Craig of Indiana and
several nieces & nephews
Her parents and husband preceded her in death.
Memorials may be made to the St. Thomas the Apostle School.
