Maxine E. Spitler Foundation Grants Awarded

On June 25, 2024, The Maxine E. Spitler Foundation awarded grants to 14 applicants from the Illinois counties of Jasper and Lawrence. A total of $31,992.37 was given to the various organizations chosen to receive funding for thelr projects.

Qualifying organizations that wish to submit an application to The Maxine E. Spitler
Foundation must be either a tax-supported governmental unit or entity or must be a tax-exempt
organization under Internal Revenue Code Section 501 (c) (3) and must be located in Jasper or
Lawrence County, Illinois. The recipient organization must provide activities for youth or sponsor
projects that care for domestic and wild animals or saving any animal species in danger of
extinction.
So, if you are part of a qualifying organization that has a future project coming up, now is the
time to start getting your paperwork in order so that you can apply for funding next year.
Grant applications for the annual awards of The Maxine E. Spitler Foundation may be obtained
at the office of Weber and Company, Inc. located at 604 West Jourdan in Newton, Illinois. The
deadline for submission of applications is May 31st each year. An advisory board reviews the
applications and determines the awards each year.
