The Newton Lady Eagles Cross Country team defeated Lawrenceville in a cross country meet on September 24th.
The boys were the only full team. Scoring in the top ten for the boys were: Nick Zwilling with a time of 16:34.91 placed second, Luke Weber with a time of 18:02.78 scored fourth, Clay Bergbower with a time of 18:13.18 placed fifth, Ben Street with a time of 18:40.25 scored sixth, Brock Probst with a time of 19:21.78 scored eighth, Gage Reynolds with a time of 19:46.94 scored ninth, and Carder Reich with a time of 20:04.38 scored tenth.
In the girls division, Rylea Borgic with a time of 20:55.66 won the meet, placing second was Laney Hemrich with a time of 22:51.66, placing third was Lucy Yager with a time of 23:35.53, placing fifth was Elly Bennett with a time of 23:46.18, placing eighth was Alli Kirts with a time of 25.09.34, and placing ninth was Alexis Hetzer with a time of 25:14.06.
