Newton HS Covid Volleyball Game Guidelines

*We are thrilled that we get to play. These guidelines are designed to do all we can to finish our

season. Your cooperation is expected and appreciated!

Team Personnel
 Visiting teams arrive no earlier than 30 minutes prior to game time. Please.
 Visiting locker room will be made available for travel bags, restroom use, and changing clothes
after games.
 Visiting bus drivers will have a seat available in the east balcony of the gym
 Members of the team traveling party are to be screened prior to boarding the bus, and
documentation of who is in the team traveling party will be provided to home site administrator
upon arrival.
 Every member of both team benches will be required to wear a mask at all times.
 One visiting team administrator will be admitted, and should enter through the home fan entrance
gate to sign in. A visiting scorekeeper and videographer will also be admitted.
 There will be no concession stand, nor entry fee.
 Players are to remain socially distant on the bench, as well as in the bleachers when they are not
playing. Visiting and Home players not dressed will sit in the east balcony.
 There will be room for the home scorer, the clock operator, and the visiting scorer at/near the
score table. All will wear masks.
 Home administrator will announce starting lineups and an NCHS chorus member will sing the
National Anthem.
 Hand sanitizer will be located on/near both bench areas.
 Please refer to our gym map for restroom and bottle fill locations. All players and coaches are to
use personal drink containers.
 Players not involved in the current contest are to sit socially distanced in the east balcony of the
gym. Teams from both schools are to remain on separate ends of the bleachers.
Fans
 THREE fans per player on the HOME team will be permitted to sign in at the home fan entrance,
near the JCJH office. By signing in, these fans will be certifying that they are symptom-free.
Fans will have their temperature taken prior to entering the game. No visiting fans may attend.
 At the conclusion of each game, fans who signed in for a player who is not dressed for the next game will be required to leave the gym. Seats will be sanitized prior to fans entering for the next game.
 All home games will be streamed on the NFHS website. Go to https://www.nfhsnetwork.com and find Newton, IL High School and then “follow” us. Our games do not require a subscription,
thanks to the Newton Athetic Boosters. Fans will be required to have an NFHS subscription for some away games. All streaming information for road games will be provided periodically.
 Spectator guidelines are subject to change in accordance with IDPH guidelines. Changes will be made by school admininstration.
Media
 Media planning to attend a contest at Newton HS need to contact Craig Carr on the day of the game to indicate their intent. A maximum of five visiting media will be admitted.
 Media must refer to the gym map provided to your local school/outlet for your designated spaces.
